Taste Skill

Scripted art direction with a reference library and browser inspection.

The editorial verdict

Where it earns its place.

The current v2 chooses art direction from a bundled library, builds around the subject, then checks and critiques browser screenshots. It targets public-facing pages across stacks rather than dashboards or app screens. Its local scripts need Node 22+ and Chrome, Edge or Chromium; finding images also needs network access.

Reach for it when

  • Landing pages and portfolios with a clear subject and audience
  • A guided art-direction workflow with browser screenshot review

Think twice if

  • You are designing dashboards or multi-step product flows
  • You cannot run the required local Node scripts and browser inspection
