Product Design and UX

Turn approved product scope into task flows, recovery states, and UX handoffs.

The editorial verdict

Where it earns its place.

A useful planning companion when a feature has a clear purpose but its behavior is still underspecified. It works through navigation, permissions, interrupted tasks, error recovery, and observable acceptance criteria before implementation. Its templates also cover human control and uncertainty in AI interactions. Bring real research and an approved scope; this workflow cannot supply evidence you have not collected.

Reach for it when

  • Specifying task flows, permissions, and recovery paths before building a product feature
  • Preparing an engineering handoff or usability-study plan from existing evidence
  • Defining review, approval, and feedback behavior for AI-assisted interfaces

Think twice if

  • You need visual styling, brand direction, or component implementation
  • You have not yet validated the problem or decided the product scope
