# Taste Skill: companion client-review page

## Scope

The source explicitly excludes dashboards, data tables and multi-step product UI. This is therefore a companion client-review presentation page for Forma, not a claim that Taste redesigned the operational dashboard. It uses the shared project facts but changes the surface to one in scope. The baseline remains visible in the lab to disclose this scope difference.

Reading this as: a client-review presentation for a small design studio, with a confident editorial language, leaning toward native CSS and an actual interactive review preview.
DESIGN_VARIANCE: 7. MOTION_INTENSITY: 3. VISUAL_DENSITY: 3. These override the defaults because the project is a focused review, not an experimental agency portfolio.

## Decisions before code

Mode: approved visual overhaul into the companion presentation; preserve all given content and core actions. Existing generic purple/pale card UI is the anti-reference. No real brand asset or SEO route is supplied. A single deep-rose accent #A82B50, cool neutral canvas, 8px content radius and 6px controls form the page-wide lock. No aesthetic is misrepresented as an official design system. Headline and primary action fit the initial viewport; no decorative numbered labels, status dots, em dashes, marketing statistics or fabricated testimonials.

## Actual preview, not a fake screenshot

The hero contains a working local review component: three buttons select the real project work items and expose their real owner, state and explanation. The same component is usable by keyboard and touch. This follows section 4.8's permitted real-component-preview option. It is not a screenshot of a publisher demo or a hand-drawn imitation of a product. No generated image, photography or network-loaded font is claimed. The source's broader multi-image landing-page ambition is not exercised in this compact local-only presentation.

## Layout and behavior

An asymmetric two-column hero: project message and real actions on the left, review preview on the right. Mobile becomes one explicit column with the CTA before the preview. A distinct three-line work summary preserves the names and states of all tasks, even when a different item is selected in the preview. Progress is text only, following the source's rejection of filled comparison tracks on landing pages. One palette, one shape scale, no section flips.

Prepare review opens a local summary; View all tasks focuses the work summary. Preview selection uses no decorative animation and all controls have 44px targets. Reduced motion is respected. The no-network constraint overrides React/Tailwind/Motion and image-generation defaults; these limitations are disclosed, not represented as package execution.

## Audit correction — 2026-10-15

The current default Taste skill differs substantially from this example’s pinned revision. This output demonstrates the original pinned dial-based revision, not the current draw/lint/inspect workflow. Source pins and the original execution record are preserved; the current version needs a fresh run.

## Source-guided visual refinement — 2026-10-21

Re-read the verified historical `skills/taste-skill/SKILL.md` at revision `717446e07a78d4e6d7918b1fde1a263378eebac9`. The scope boundary remains explicit: this is an in-scope companion client-review presentation, not an operational dashboard redesign. The historical dial settings remain DESIGN_VARIANCE 7, MOTION_INTENSITY 3 and VISUAL_DENSITY 3. The original source pin, prompt and execution record remain unchanged; this refinement does not demonstrate the current scripted draw/lint/inspect workflow.

Sections 4.1–4.3 and 4.11 support a consistent type and colour hierarchy with one accent hue and no arbitrary theme inversions. The single rose family is now #9B2449 with a deeper #6B203E burgundy, pale #F0DCE5 preview and decision surfaces, #F8F3F6 canvas and #FFFAFD paper. These are one hue family, not competing accents. The sans-serif headline remains within two lines on desktop; no decorative labels, gradients, invented data or image claims were added.

- A mostly neutral headline becomes expressive burgundy/rose type, making the review purpose visible immediately.
- A lightly tinted selected control becomes a burgundy selection with pale text, while a larger task title and marked decision detail make the working preview easier to read.
- A quiet footer decision becomes a compact rose decision band, keeping the next approval visible alongside Friday’s review time.

The real native-button preview, all project facts, both core actions, system fonts and reduced-motion behavior are preserved. Offline stack/image adaptations and historical-version caveats still apply. No new script run, package execution, benchmark or full source conformance is claimed.
