# Minimalist UI: weekly working document

Applied the original minimalist-skill/SKILL.md, selector minimalist-ui. The prescribed warm monochrome system is the source of this direction, not a restyle copied from the host website.

Plan: warm bone #F7F6F3 canvas; white document surfaces; charcoal #2F3437; warm quiet labels; desaturated blue, red and yellow status tags. Helvetica Neue UI with Georgia as an offline editorial-serif substitute. Main heading uses tight tracking and 1.1 line height. Base content remains readable.

Macro-whitespace leads. Asymmetric 2:1 bento pairs the real task list with review context; cards use exactly 1px solid #EAEAEA and 8px radii. Primary action is #111111 with a 6px radius. No shadows, gradients, large colored surfaces or pill containers.

Major blocks use one IntersectionObserver reveal with 12px travel, 600ms cubic-bezier(.16,1,.3,1), short stagger. The default document is visible, so unsupported or disabled JavaScript does not remove content. Reduced motion skips the reveal. A sparse document ruling behind the header adds context without image or network dependency.

Native disclosure reveals the actual waiting-content detail. The review preparation is local with keyboard focus return. Hero spacing is reduced on a phone to keep actions reachable; no content is hidden to fit an artificial height. Warm palette, typographic contrast, card border and micro-motion directly trace to sections 3–7 of the skill.

## Audit correction — 2026-10-15

Corrected the recorded CTA-radius description from 5px to 6px to match the final overriding CSS rule. The skill permits 4–6px; no visual change was needed.

## Source-guided visual refinement — 2026-10-21

Re-read the verified pinned `skills/minimalist-skill/SKILL.md` at revision `717446e07a78d4e6d7918b1fde1a263378eebac9`. Sections 3–5 guided this local refinement: stronger serif hierarchy, exact warm-paper/white surfaces, black primary action, flat #EAEAEA borders and small semantic pastel accents. The source forbids primary-coloured large surfaces, so no saturated hero or card was added.

- Small, unevenly positioned state cues become aligned, more legible blue/red/yellow tags; the blocked task retains its native disclosure.
- Plain completion/blocker totals become compact green/red surfaces, using #EDF3EC/#346538 and #FDEBEC/#9F2F2D. Text still states the meaning.
- Similar visual weight between review facts becomes a larger Friday review time and distinct serif approval decision, while the black Prepare review button remains the primary action.

Palette: warm bone #F7F6F3, white, charcoal #2F3437, black CTA #111111, source blue #E1F3FE, red #FDEBEC, green #EDF3EC and yellow #FBF3DB. Yellow text remains the darker #785100 for legibility. System fonts, facts, local behavior and reduced-motion handling are preserved. This is a source-guided refinement of the recorded demonstration, not a new plugin run or benchmark.
